For Fall/Winter 2013 Creative Director Oskar Metsavaht reaffirms Osklen’s naturalist roots through the “Into the Mountains” collection. Metsavaht contrasts a 1960’s Aspen sophistication with the rusticity of Patagonia, and interprets this inspiration into an effortlessly chic and modern collection for the New York woman. Materials that include Italian wool, alpaca, neoprene, cotton jacquard, mohair and rustic handmade eco-friendly silk, are presented in a neutral black and white backdrop with accents of gold and teal. Landscapes of Patagonia and Aspen mountains are showcased via scenic prints and silhouettes inspired by 1950’s and 60’s ski wear are balanced with modern detailing from snowboarding outfits.
