Tell us about the makeup look that you are doing for the Katya Leonovich show.
Katya always has paint on her fabrics; you can see that today, so I kind of paired the eye shadow with that look. I used a lot of colors and pastels to look more like paint. Not traditional makeup, but inspired by paint so it’s a little bit smudged. It isn’t too strong, just a beautiful look.
What colors are you using?
We are using a lot of pink with dark green, blue and purple and then kind of messing it up a little bit. We added mascara and eyeliner for a tiny bit more definition for the eye making it more intense.
Can you give our readers some makeup tips for spring and summer?
The makeup is not like a tattoo — if you mess up you can take it off so just try a lot of things and experiment. Don’t be afraid to mess up. For spring and summer you want clear skin, not too much foundation, more fresh and natural. And a nice eye shadow like this look is really really nice. During the day, just mascara and a bit of lipstick is fine. Colors that are in right now are very pale pastel colors such as blue, green and orange.
