My flight was set and my hotel reservations were made. I was all ready to go to Paris to cover Couture Fashion Week and was very excited to see Zuhair Murad and Elie Saab’s collections. Then I got the email.
The Presidential Inaugural Committee is pleased to offer you the opportunity to attend certain Inaugural events in Washington, D.C. This email contains specific information for your access to those events.
And just like that, I canceled my flight to Paris for an opportunity to see — with my very own eyes — The President and The First Lady dancing at the Inaugural Ball.
Three days later, I’m still speechless.
