Femininity and weightlessness are the focus of ELIE SAAB’s Resort 2014 short look book film.
Fluid and elegant, the light-filled video captures the delicateness of the transparent silk chiffon and lace fabrics which are central to the collection.
The ELIE SAAB woman daydreams of silhouettes that float with voluminous drapery, revealing transparent panels. A jumpsuit with a train that flows from her shoulders, a lace cocktail dress with geometric lines, a sinuous evening gown that glistens with embroidery.
In her reverie the ELIE SAAB woman is chic in short hems and wide volumes. She wears soft hues that are clean and fresh: gardenia, and nude – juxtaposed with charcoal black.
Her jewellery is metallic and crystallized, twisted into knots that recall the contemporary romance that runs through the collection.
The Resort 2014 collection fuses the graphic lines of the Mod era with a dreamy sophistication that is the signature of the ELIE SAAB woman.
