Dior’s Lucky red is such a vibrant color, it compliments any occasion, even those lazy days indulging on bright red cherries on a sunny rooftop in Rome. I think you can guess what I was up to! This particular shade has a slight hint of pink to it and that is why I like it. It is sort of an “inbetweeny” color but looks more red even though it is described as a “hot pink coral” on Sephora’s website.
Two special things about Dior’s varnishes are the shape of the brush and the durability. The brush is rounded, not square and flat on the tip like traditional nail varnishes. When you place the brush on your nail bed it takes the shape of the moon-shaped cuticle edge so you can literally spread the varnish with one stroke.
The durability is great too, it takes quite a bit to get the varnish to chip. It tends to wear off rather than crack which looks a lot better than those ghastly jagged cracks you have to live with before your next mani!
Red is classic and goes with just about anything. Do it!
