DIOR HOMME FW14

Dior held its men’s runway show for fall/winter 14-15 on Jan 18th in Paris. It did feel however, like it was in London. Classic Savile Row-inspired pinstripe suits ranging from 2 to 4 buttons formed the backbone of the show, starring a young cast of British looking models. Stripes, lilies and polka dots adorned the suit pieces which sometimes were two, sometimes three. Military-inspired parkas continued the show that later also nodded towards the denim heritage of Dior Homme as well as making more majestic moves with luxurious fur coats. Streetwear was represented by patterned sweaters, rolled up jeans and white and black leather sneakers, some with white dots. The harmonic colour palette of the collection, mustard, cobolt, army green paired with dark blue and grey suits leaves me with a crisp autumn breeze, convincing me that winds are blowing in new, promising directions at Dior Homme. Well done Kris.
