On September 19, 2012, Fashiontographer hosted a photography event with support from Sushiko, Shoot for Change, The Publicist League, and Nival Salon and Spa. Through photography, general donations, and a silent auction, the event raised over $1,600 for Casa Ruby.
Casa Ruby is the first community, social, and resources center run by LGBT queer Latinos in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware. Casa Ruby opened their home on June 06, 2012 and is directed by transgender activist Ruby Corado.
