The Perry Ellis Duckie Brown FW13 collection was rather subdued this season. A “sophisticated” color palette of navy, burgundy, mustard, and olive created a neutral background for camo and paisley. The focus was really on outerwear. A well-made, well-tailored coat is a staple in every man’s wardrobe. With military inspired cuts, these jackets fit easily into everyone’s wardrobe thanks to their construction and neutral tones. Hair was slicked and combed to 1940’s/WWII perfection, complimenting the style. Monk strap shoes give this conservative and timeless collection the update it needs. Congrats to Perry Ellis on a collection that is classic enough to attract the sophisticated crowd and rugged enough to attract the youthful crowd.
