LEUKEMIA BALL 2013

Of the many charity events that take place in Washington, DC throughout the year, the Leukemia Ball is among the most glamorous. Fashiontographer was thrilled to be a part of of this glorious event.

Held in the Washington Convention Center on March 23, 2013, the 26th Annual Leukemia Ball had over 2,000 attendees and raised $2.75 million dollars for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in the fight against blood cancers. The event is known for being spectacular and this year was no exception. In addition to the always impressive silent auction and the raffle for two luxury Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the entertainment was provided by the hilarious Dana Carvey and the magnetic Jim Belushi and his Sacred Heart Band.

Fashiontographer was very impressed to be a witness to the stunning fashion that was on display. In addition to being very charitable, Washington, DC showed itself to be on trend as well as well versed in current designers. Bagdley Mischka, Donna Karan, Monique Lhuillier, Tadashi Shoji, and Nicole Miller were all favorites.
