The Altstadt Hotel in Vienna, Austria was one of my favorite hotels to ever stay in so it was an easy choice for our photoshoot. Each room was decorated differently and had its own theme. As you can see, the wallpaper is pretty impressive.
These photos were taken a few days before Nina’s wedding in 2010 (she’s the one jumping on the bed). I had actually photographed both Nina and Theresa separately a few months before so it was fun to get them in the same photo. I also had the privilege to work again with the super talented makeup artist, Tanja Erhart, whose specialty was special effects. Unfortunately, we didn’t have as much time to play around with other ideas, but I at least got “The Vampire Kiss” photo that I wanted to do.
The photo with Nina jumping on the bed is one of my all time favorite photos. It took several attempts because both of them were laughing so hard. And of course it’s hard to be jumping on the bed when you’re pretending to not be jumping on the bed. Or something like that.
