BEFORE THE RUNWAY

It never ceases to amaze me how much time, effort, and talent goes into a single runway show. Watching it all go together a few minutes before the runway begins makes my head hurt just thinking about it. The process, the details, the synchronicity of everyone working together are all just mind boggling to see. It is simply amazing.

Like a chaotic symphony with countless details having to be perfect and with so many people working in a tight space doing a million things all at once, the end result is truly a work of art. And to think that the hours and hours of hard work are all for a show that lasts for no longer than 10 minutes. It’s like the artist Andy Goldsworthy who makes art out of nature only to see nature blow it all away. Thank goodness for photographers, right?
